I coach girls cross country and track at Waukee High School, Reading, Running, Spending time with my girls What is a little known fact about yourself?
I have dual citizenship. I am a citizen of the US and the Pottawami Nation in Oklahoma. My family has been a part of the tribe for many generations! Why did you get into teaching?
I got into teaching because I had amazing teachers in school. There were two females specifically at Waukee high school that I really looked up to. I wanted to be just like them when I grew up, and so I followed their career paths! Thanks, Mrs. Every and Mrs. Pettit How would your friends describe you?
On the quieter side! But always willing to listen. What's the most daring thing you've ever done?
I was on a trip with my family to visit my brother who is in the Airforce. He is stationed in Germany. We decided it was a good idea to take a day trip to Switzerland while we were there, and I was the lucky winner voted to drive. Driving in Switzerland is HARD! The signs are in 3 different languages, the train drives with you in the road like a car, and since it is not part of the EU, the road signs are all different. I decided to brave it anyway. The result- I got a ticket for driving on a street that was only for trains for that hour of the day.
